Auto-digitizers love a blanket zigzag. On pique that extra fill shows as a ridge around satin letters. We prefer a light edge-walk, then a modest zigzag only where columns are wide enough to hide it.
Pique is not a cap, and not a fleece

When underlay is the wrong fix
If the sew-out still puckers after a lighter underlay, the fill may simply be too heavy — or the type too small. Small lettering digitizing rebuilds columns instead of packing more foundation stitches. Send a sew-out photo with the quote request.
